Crawford County students can earn industry-recognized credentials through TurboCert

MANSFIELD – The Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center Business Advisory Council has partnered with the Crawford Success Center, North Central State College and Crawford County school districts to launch the TurboCert program.

Taking place at the Crawford Success Center, the program offers high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn industry-recognized credentials in 5G Readiness, Phlebotomy, Robotics in Advanced Manufacturing and Drone Operations and Safety.

The first session begins Aug. 29, 2025 with enrollment closing Sept. 5.

To enroll in this program, contact Kevin Fourman, TurboCert Program Coordinator (Crawford County), at fourman.kevin@moesc.net for more information.

TurboCert is a dynamic, fast-paced initiative that equips high school students with industry-recognized credentials in high-demand fields.

The program offers 16 intensive Fridays of hands-on training, designed to fast-track students into meaningful careers or further education.

Students from across Crawford County benefit from real-world experience, certifications and curriculum that aligns directly with the skills employers need today.

“The creation of TurboCert reflects our Business Advisory Council’s commitment to aligning education with workforce needs,” said Amy Wood, Director of Special Projects at Mid-Ohio ESC.

“In our spring pilot, 100% of participating Crawford County students earned the industry credentials they attempted, a powerful testament to their hard work and to the strength of our program and partnerships.”

TurboCert not only builds technical expertise but also helps address regional workforce gaps and promotes economic growth. With pathways to college enrollment or immediate employment, TurboCert is a powerful investment in the future of both students and the community.

This initiative represents a collaborative effort between educational institutions, local school districts, business partners and workforce development organizations, all working together to prepare students for thriving careers.

These credentials are tailored to meet current job market demands and support career progression. Mid-Ohio ESC’s Crawford County Program Coordinator, Kevin Fourman, and strong partnerships with local business and industry provide a comprehensive support system that includes opportunities for college enrollment and employment post high school.

“Our Crawford County schools are proud to be at the forefront of education, partnering with MOESC and the North Central State College Foundation to deliver a best-in-class TurboCert program at the Crawford Success Center,” said Chris Copper, Vice President of the NCSC Foundation and Development.

“This innovative program equips students with industry-recognized credentials, while still in high school, giving them a powerful head start toward in- demand careers.

“By saving families both time and money, we are not only opening doors of opportunity for our students, but also building a stronger, job-ready workforce that earns a livable wage and strengthens the future of our entire community.”
