AirBooking joins Turkish Airlines’ NDC platform

Aggregator AirBooking has become a distribution partner for Turkish Airlines, joining the carrier’s TKConnect NDC platform for agents.

Travel agents can now access Turkish Airlines’ NDC content alongside its EDIFACT content via AirBooking. NDC bookings made via the platform will avoid the carrier’s $24 GDS distribution surcharge, which has been applied to EDIFACT bookings since 1 October 2024.

Turkish Airlines launched TKConnect on the same 1 October date. The platform currently comprises 18 distribution partners, including Travelfusion, Verteil, Drct, Mystifly, Lleego, Nuua, Nuflights and Theta, according to the carrier’s website. 

The airline’s content also returned to Sabre in June following a 10-month absence after the two companies failed to reach an agreement during contract renegotiations last September. The renewed “collaboration” with Sabre also includes NDC content.

UAE-based AirBooking, formerly Airretailer Technology, told BTN Europe that it currently works with partners in the Middle East and North Africa and is “expanding into Europe” by adding NDC content from airlines such as British Airways, Iberia and Lufthansa.
