Mostly dry tonight; scattered storms Tuesday


ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – We’ll see a few showers and storms this evening as temperatures remain warm and muggy. A few of the storms could produce heavy downpours and frequent lightning. Most areas will stay dry, with a 20% chance of storms through the evening.

Rain chances will increase tomorrow afternoon, with a 40% chance of rain and storms. The highest rain chances will be after 2pm, and continue through the early evening.

More rain to end the week

A cool front will slide into north Georgia by the end of the week, which will increase our rain chances heading into the weekend.

There are First Alert Weather Days Thursday through Saturday to highlight the higher rain chances.

More rain will also mean cooler temperatures with highs dropping into the 80s by Thursday.
