We’ve seen Texas A&M Texarkana has been growing at a record pace over the past few years and the growth continues with more housing for students, the expansion of the sports program and the construction starting on the James C. Morriss Business, Engineering, and Technology Building.

With all the new buildings and programs, A&M-Texarkana’s mission is to offer a world-class education that leads to high-paying jobs as the university works to match the needs of today’s employers.
A&M-Texarkana Expands to Meet Workforce Demands
Scott Norton, the TexAmericas Center, Executive Director and CEO explained in a press release,
A&M-Texarkana has integrated itself into the economic development efforts at TexAmericas Center (TAC) by intentionally including some of our Executive Staff in their program development efforts, strategic planning activities, and Advisory Boards. As a result, we have seen the development of new programs at TAMUT to meet the needs of current and future business and industry at TAC and throughout the region.
New Degrees and Certificates for In-Demand Careers
And Texas A&M-Texarkana isn’t stopping there. This fall includes bachelor’s degrees in Computer Engineering and Civil Engineering, as well as certificate programs in Pulp and Paper Technology and CAD. The university also launched a fully online Bachelor of Business Administration, making the degree more practical for working adults.
