Wortham High School is proud to announce the continued growth of its regional collaboration efforts, providing students from neighboring districts with unprecedented access to specialized career and technical education programs.
For the second year, Teague High School students are joining Wortham High School classrooms to participate in WHS’s rigorous Medical Programs and the brand-new WHS Fire Academy, gaining hands-on experience and industry-based certifications that prepare them for real-world careers in healthcare and emergency services.

This year, Coolidge High School students are also joining WHS, enrolling in the medical program pre-reqs, further strengthening the regional network of students pursuing high-demand career pathways. Meanwhile, WHS students are expanding their skill sets at Teague High School by attending Cosmetology classes, diversifying their career-ready experiences and enhancing cross-district learning opportunities.
WHS Principal David Hayes stated, “Our vision is simple: every student in our region deserves access to high-quality programs, no matter the size of their home district. By partnering with Teague and Coolidge, we are breaking down barriers, sharing resources, and preparing students for success in college, careers, and beyond.”

With programs spanning medical training, firefighting, and cosmetology, students are able to explore career paths that align with their passions and aspirations.
