One of the most historic rivalries in rugby will return to the field this Saturday at the Rugby Championship as the No. 1-ranked New Zealand All Blacks face the No. 2 South Africa Springboks.
The Springboks have the opportunity to break the All Blacks’ 50-game win streak at Eden Park and capture a win inside the venue for the first time since 1937.
Such a big task requires only the best, according to Springboks head coach Rassie Erasmus, who named his starting lineup on Thursday.
Eben Etzebeth, Ruan Nortje, Siya Kolisi, and Pieter-Steph du Toit return as the most experienced on the squad, with the only change to the backline being Willie le Roux.
The All Blacks will bring out star forward Ardie Savea for his 100th Test match and will oppositely debut Kyle Preston at halfback. Other players shifting roles include Tupou Vaa’i, Fabian Holland, Tyrel Lomax, and Du’Plessis Kirifi.
