Reign FC begins a new tradition on Monday, honoring the trailblazing women that built the backbone of the beautiful game in America. For the inaugural Queen’s Match, the club welcomes the 1985 United States Women’s National Team to Lumen Field.
The trailblazing group of 17 women forged their own path, uplifting the women’s game in the United States. The team traveled to Italy to play the squad’s first-ever international competition, irrevocably laying the groundwork the United States Women’s National Team to become the dominant force they are today. Reign FC welcomes the 85ers home, as eight members of the team have proud Washington State roots.
