Driver dies; 2 Oregon City adults, 4 kids hospitalized after head-on crash in Deschutes Co.


DESCHUTES COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) – A person died and a group from Oregon City suffered serious injuries after a head-on crash in Deschutes County on Thursday, according to the Oregon State Police.

Just before 10 p.m., officers responded to the two-vehicle crash on Highway 97 near milepost 145.

According to OSP, 33-year-old Felicia Devin Nicholson of Bend was driving a Honda Accord north when she drifted across the center lane. Nicholson crashed head-on into a Honda Odyssey heading south.

Nicholson died at the scene.

The Odyssey driver, a 46-year-old man from Oregon City, suffered minor injuries. Five other passengers, a 45-year-old Oregon City woman, and four girls, ages 17, 14, 11, and 9, were seriously injured.

The injured Honda Odyssey driver and passengers were all rushed to a hospital for treatment. No further information has been released about their current condition.
