LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The father of Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown was arrested for Wednesday night’s stabbing at a Las Vegas park, according to a source familiar with the investigation.
Jail records show Quenton M. Brown was booked sometime Thursday morning on suspicion of attempted murder. His first court appearance is scheduled for the afternoon.
A source tells News 3 that Brown, who goes by his middle name Marselles, was the suspect arrested for the stabbing at All American Park on Buffalo Drive near Charleston Boulevard.
LVMPD previously said two people got into an argument over a parking space, and one person stabbed the other in the stomach.
Officers found the suspect and took him into custody, while the victim was taken to a hospital to undergo surgery.
No further details have been released.
Jaylen Brown, a four-time NBA All-star and 2024 Finals MVP, has played with the Boston Celtics since being drafted by the team in 2016. He is originally from Marietta Georgia
