“First is by transforming job training centers (BLK) and designing curricula in collaboration with industry,” Yassierli remarked during the PYC International Energy Conference 2025 held here on Saturday.
He stated that this effort is expected to align job training programs with industry demands, while also ensuring their relevance to emerging environmentally friendly technologies and practices.
The next strategy is enhancing the capabilities of instructors at training centers, which involves equipping trainers with continuous professional development and industry experience so they can deliver up-to-date skills training.
In addition, Yassierli highlighted the importance of project-based learning, which is expected to introduce a hands-on and experiential training model that allows participants to apply their knowledge in real-world projects, bridging the gap between theory and workplace practice.
“The next step is the BLK Talent and Innovation Hub, which will transform BLK facilities into centers of excellence that promote practicing, encourage innovation, and nurture the next generation of green professionals,” he said.
Furthermore, the minister emphasized the role of the National Productivity Movement in driving productivity across sectors by involving the government, industry, and academia.
“Developing productivity talents for industry is also a focus to strengthen professional pathways capable of leading productivity and sustainability projects at the company level,” he added.
Yassierli also pointed out that the government must intervene by providing technical support for companies to implement green productivity projects, to increase both competitiveness and environmental performance.
“Moreover, the principles of green productivity, which integrates efficiency, sustainability, and innovation, are important for creating green jobs,” Yassierli added.
