Approval has conformed from the Maharashtra government for recruitments of total 15,631 posts of Police and Prison Constable vacancies. On Wednesday, the official conformation has been announced.
Maharashtra government has conformed the recruitments on the direct basis for 15,631 vacant posts for the police & prison constable posts said the Government Resolution. Also, added the direct recruitment could be made only for the 50% of the posts but the restriction was waived in view of pressing need for personnel.

Police constables- 12,399
Police Constable Drivers- 234
Bandsmen- 25,
Armed Police Constables- 2,393
Prison Constables- 580

Eligibilities & Exam process:
Candidates applying for the police & prison constable post must have crossed their maximum age limit in 2022 and 2023 and also, have the education qualification as mentioned in the official notification.
Also, the candidates are hereby informed that the exam will be taking place in the divisional level & in OMR Manner which is written exam/offline manner. The selections for the recruitments are made based on the results in the written exam.
Fees Details:
Open Category candidates must pay the fees of Rs.450 and for Reserved candidates Rs.350 which must be paid online.
