Henry Plant, an 18-year-old intern tailor from Cannock, West Midlands, shared his thoughts on the government-supported job listings:

“I cannot praise your Builder Better Britain campaign enough.”

“It is crucial for people to know how to find an apprenticeship.”

“Tailoring is what I have always wanted to do, but I spent two to three years looking for the right opportunity before I found this one.”

“It’s frustrating when you want to work but it feels like all doors are closed. So the fact that you help guide people in the right direction is incredibly valuable.”

Due to a reduction in vacancies in shops and pubs, the government is allocating £100 million to support training for 12.8% of young people aged 16 to 24 who are not engaged in education, work, or training.
